Knock, knock....."Any of you lose a fairy?"

After he'd had about as much of PResto's "Sherlock Holmes" act as he could take, he decided to wander off on his own to do some serious thinking. "I swear Presto, if you say, 'Elementary my dear Eric' one more time I'm gonna make you eat that HAT!" His musings took him to the garden, where he flung himself onto a bench and rested his hands on his chin for awhile. A moment later he heard a strange fluttering, as if someone had left a book open and its pages were fluttering in the wind. He rounded a corner and blinked in confusion at the source- a paper pigeon with a note tied to its foot, hopping around a tiny figure in the grass. The pigeon was poking at it, but it remained motionless. "What the...." he went over and gently lifted the little creature, recognizing its sadly singed wings. "Fairalin? What are you doing out here?" Her tattered dress was wet with dew- had she been out here all night? Was she alive? He could feel her hummingbird-quick pulse thrumming against his hand, and she still felt warm- perhaps a little feverish. "Hey. Time to wake up, all right?" She didn't respond, simply murmured something about choices and unfair, and he dared not try anything more violent to waken her for fear of hurting her. "Looks like you need a hearler, eh?" The pigeon landed on his shoulder with a whirring, and Eric tried to retrieve the note. The ink smudged as he tried to read it, but it was fairly obvious who it was from. "Well, looks like the redhead with the sari has something to tell you, but she's in a meeting with all her buddies at the moment....maybe that's what the note was about. Hope those other healers are with her, you look like you need one..." A few minutes later, there's a knock on the door of Kryschenn's room, and Eric's voice reaches them. "Hey! Don't wanna crash your party an' all, but is there a doctor in the house? Any of you lose a fairy?"
