Zakiyah takes Kryschenn's note, still doubting it will do any good. She also adds a reply of her own. "The solution to feeling like a troublemaker is NOT to make more trouble. Whatever you think of us, we're going to have to risk our lives for you now to keep you from making a deadly mistake. Think over what you are doing. The path you follow can only lead to ruin."
(Zakiyah refuses to add a note with Eric's first reply to Cassandra's threat, which was "Bite me," or his second reply, which was somewhat more understanding...)
She sends the bird off again, still looking sober. If she had to ride after the girl, it would be violating her oath again. Her god's patience had its limits. But that would have to wait for the moment.
She silently opened her book to the map of the Realm, pointing to Rod the location of two of Venger's closest fortresses. "You'll have to ask Yodel which direction the flying creature went...I don't know which one he will be at." This wasn't exactly true, she had a good theory, but she couldn't bring herself to break any more oaths today.
She turned to Rose, explaining what was wrong. "There's a girl from earth with us who is throwing her life away- and for what? To prove a point? To find herself? All she'll find is a fool's end, as I did." She walks toward the princess's throneroom, very grim indeed. "We'll go....the others will follow shortly, once they have discussed their plans."
