Though everything was still quite blurry from the Drow's point of view, he felt the ground give way underneath him as both he and Ashelyien tumbled to the bottom of the defile. Dan was able to save the female warrior and slow her descent inspite of being pulled over the edge himself. The same could not be said for poor Sterling who continued to tumble down to the bottom of the gorge. Fortunately his warrior's training began to serve the Dark Elf well as he successfully adjusted his tumble into a semi-controlled roll. Unfortunately, his skills failed to spare him from the pain and sudden unconsciousness that he experienced when his head hit a rock at the end of his fall.
