(This would be happening late in the groups first night in the Realm, perhaps around 11-2 am. I'm assuming your post takes place at roughly the same time or an hour or so later.)
Unable to get a good night's rest in his bed ((It was actually Hank's but he didn't know it at this point)), Cole the Mentalist remembered that he totally forgot about Kayla who took off to defend the town of Macula. Still tired from over expending himself he sends out a rather weak telepathic call to the Clay Dwarf, hoping that she is alright. Establishing it, he finds her alive and in the company of another newcomer who resembled Bubbles Hentai. The pair also seemed to have discovered a baby dragon.
He then floods Kayla's mind with images of events that transpired at the party: Venger's battle with Kryschenn, the groups battle with the Vizier's Doppelganger and then with the Demon who impersonated the Guardian of Yarfell, and what was learned/rumored about the possibility of a broken staff, multiple staffs, or something involving a staff and orbs, the exact details somewhat muddled in the drowzy Mentalist's mind.
Uncertain of his success in reaching her but relieved that she seemed okay to him, he settled into a much better dream than the one he had earlier that night. Unfortunately some stupid loud bells woke him up before the good part.

((Hopefully this can work continuity-wise. The next morning the rest of us have been running around a lot. Cole has only a vague memory of calling Kayla, since he was half asleep when he did it. He's isn't sure if it was a dream or not so he kept it to himself. Perhaps after contacting Kayla, at the Sunny Tavern she is actually recalling what Cole knew of the staff(s) and orb(s) instead of her own memories.
In the next morning there have been to many other things going on for Cole to try contacting her again. Perhaps once Bubbles finishes interrogating Yodel's men he'll be up to it. Of course this doesn't have to be accepted, it's just an idea.))
