The Adventurer steps onto the floating rock with Ral and the Elven mage as it begins to descend towards the bottom of the defile. He looked at his companions with a quizzical expression, "What are we gonna do when we get down there?"His question was cut off as the dark elf, now on his feet, was screaming something in drow. The Adventurer shrugged, "I think I'm being paged.." Dan took one step back, steeled his well and leapt off the front of the stone.
By some wierd twist of fate, or maybe he planned it all along, Dan landed solidly on the back of one of the bats. Thankfully, the giant bats were so preoccupied with Sterling and Ashley the one the Adventurer caught was too busy to dodge.
These flying vermin were pretty large, so Dan's descent to the ground was slowed somewhat by the flapping wingings. The ugly thing screeched and flailed with its wings as the two combatants struck the ground. It was much worse for the poor bat, cause it broke the fall for a 200 pound lunatic.
Dan stood up and the bat merely twitched a few times before going completely still. The Adventurer grinned at his companions full of pride because of the successful maneuver. He didn't even have a chance to hear the warnings yelled by Ral and Thothalas before the huge flying figure crashed into him.
Claws raked his chest and wings buffeted him as the bat slammed him into the defile wall. Dan was able to grip both wings of the bat and hold the gnashing teeth at bay. The horried thing screeched and clawed leaving scratches across his chest and completely shredding his shirt.
