Celeste walked down the hill towards Yarfell, examining what she could see of the city. High walls surrounded it (a fairly common defensive measure if she correctly remember her reading about the Middle Ages) and a castle sat in the midst of the city, its walls towering over the other buildings. As she got closer, she could see numerous guards patrolling along the city's walls and guarding the gate. Why is the city under such a state of watchfulness?, she wondered. Is Venger going to attack the city? That would explain why others from Earth would be here...
When she approached the gates, one of the guards moved to block her path. He looked at the still faintly glowing crystal ball she held in her hands and frowned. "Are ye another one of those Outworlders?" he asked.
Outworlders...? Does he mean people who got pulled into the Realm like me? "I suppose I would be..." Celeste replied.
"Then I must arrest ye. Please do not resist."
Celeste blinked. "But I didn't do anything! I haven't even been inside your city..."
The guard shrugged. "All Outworlders must be taken into our custody. It's the Princess' orders. Now come along quietly."
How am I supposed to resist? Try to brain them all with my crystal ball? Celeste hung her head. "Okay, I will." This is just great, I end up in the Realm and the first thing I do is get arrested. At least I won't have any trouble finding the other people who've been dropped into the Realm...
Two more guards joined the first, and Celeste reluctantly handed over her crystal ball when asked. They escorted her through the gate, and on through the city towards the castle. Celeste looked around curiously as they walked, seeing a city like this first hand instead of reading about it in a book or seeing it in a movie. The number of glares and hateful looks she received from the populace made her almost glad she was surrounded by guards, though. What happened to make them so antagonistic towards 'Outworlders'?
Eventually, they reached the castle, and Celeste was lead inside, then down into the dungeons. She was brought to one cell door of several lining the corridor. One of the guards unlocked the door and swung it open, then another pushed her forward. Stumbling inside, she turned around as the door slammed shut. She distinctly heard the sound of a key turning in the lock. Wonderful. I have no idea what's going on or how to get out of here. She heard a sound behind her. Someone else is in here? She turned around to look.

((OOC: Well, I'm stuck in with the rest of you now. How was I supposed to know IC that carrying my 'weapon' around unhidden would get me arrested? :^) Anyone want to volunteer to be in my cell and explain what's happened so far IC? :^) I've gotten an OOC explanation of course, but that doesn't make me any less confused IC. :^) ))
