The dreams are vivid..slavery stands out bold, and bright a scarlet lightening bolt against darkening skies. An oasis in the sun, smell of death, and alcohol and blood. She is only 10 a child in an adult's world, witnessing savage act daily, serving drinks, head hanging low, lips dry and parched, and al the while underneath her rough leather collar are brands hot and festering, so that even if she does remove them anyone would know...that her atatus is less than thiers. The days stretch to weeks, weeks to months, months to years. Now he see a young woman..toned and somewhat hardened but crying inside..she has been promoted to a pit fighter, fighting other slaves, animals, all for the advancement of wages to her masters pockets. She is well trained she must be to survive.
