Tuculcha landed a little ways away from the growing group of travelers. She promptly set up her little shimmery image spell to spy on the group. “Yet another new arrival, “ she muttered to herself. “Why must this annoying band of travelers continue to grow?” She shrugged and added, “No matter, I will deal with her as well as the others.” She looked around and using a weak spell as to not arouse anyone’s attention, she checked for possible wards. “I gave that silly Elven Mage too much credit before,” she said with a cruel smile. “That has to be the worst ward I’ve ever seen; anything could get past that. He’s making my job so easy that I could be dinning on rabbit for my morning feast.”
She saw the newcomer fall into a troubled sleep. “Don’t worry little one your dreams will only get worse. Too bad I won’t be making a personal trip into your nightmares, but I will give you enough terrors while you’re awake to last for a lifetime of bad dreams.” She was tempted to laugh but feared one of the Elves would hear her, “As short as your life will be.”
The shimmery image shifted to a very miffed and arrogant looking Lorekeeper. “She’s so distracted that this will be easy, especially if they do put her on first watch as that Warrior brat suggested.” A malevolent smile played upon her lips, “I’ll just have to watch and plan carefully, but it should be soon; very soon now.”
