((A slight addendum to Bubbles costume. Her jeweled belt is also spangled with little pieces of mirror to add glitter. The pocket into which she put her Magic Mirror has a small hole in it so that she could face the mirror out. A little bit of it will be visible though the hole and she will be able to use her mirror that way if she so chooses. It won't have the same amount of power as if the full face of the mirror was visible though.))Bubbles stared at the guards incredulously. This was a joke, right? It couldn't possibly be this easy. She needn't use her power on them at all. They already couldn't take their eyes off her. But no point in taking risks. There were others involved after all. So Bubbles relaxed her control of her power and gently urged her horse up to the guard leader, who was staring at her anyway.
"Hello there," she purred throatily, spreading on the southern accent as thick at jam, looking at him with half lidded eyes and concentrating on him. His already bright eyes glazed even further. "Hiya gorgeous." He slurred, half bowing in his saddle in what he obviously thought was a gallant manner. 'Eeyuch!' Bubbles thought in disgust. She could smell him from here. She was surprised he was still sober enough to sit his horse. Oh well...you worked with what you had.
"Valorous captain," she cooed sweetly, "Do you think you could possibly show us where we can set up camp? I do so want to get into my tent and get a bit of...rest..before the show." Did her lips purse suggestively behind her veil? He could not tell.
"I'll be most happy to show ye to where ye fine...ladies..can set up camp," he responded leeringly. "Reginald! Barclay! You two get yer tails over here!" he barked out suddenly. He glared at the two men clad in motley armor, who couldn't stop staring at Bubbles as they rode up to him. Indeed, they nearly rode right past him. A growl and swipe of his crop at their heads brought their attention back to him.
"Sir?" one of them growled sullenly.
"You two take the Lady and her retainers to see Lord Venger! I'll escort the rest to where they can camp." He snarled at them. At the nearly mutinous looks on their faces as they stared back and forth between him and Venger, the lieutenant (so he hadn't corrected the lass) raised his crop again. They backed down. With a terse jerk of his head Barclay gestured Rose, EO, and Fay to follow them.
"Now then, Lady..." the man paused, only just realizing he did not know her name.
"You may call me Cyrsa," she purred lowly. "It means 'fire'." And she threw him another smoldering look as she glanced back at her companions to make sure they had heard as well. After all...her name could have been heard and repeated back to Venger since Yarfell seemed to be composed mainly of spies and assassins.
The lieutenant straightened up and preened under her gaze. Yeah...she couldn't wait to bed him, he just knew in the depths of his very shallow soul. He didn't even notice her glance at her companions.
Seeing that they were near the very outskirts of the remains of the army encampment Bubbles straightened up in her saddle. "I think here is good, don't you Captain?" she poured on the power. She in no way wanted to be trapped *inside* the perimeter of the encampment. "Yeah. This is good," he said dazedly. And since he was usually drunk to one degree or another, none of his men found this the least bit strange.
"Marvelous!" Bubbles cooed brightly. "We will need a few things. Tents, cooking pots, bed..." Even in his stupor he thought this was strange. "We lost everything in a disaster a few days back. So tragic!" She sniffled and wiped a tear from her eye. The guard leader relaxed. Bubbles smiled predatorily behind her veil. She had him wrapped around her little finger. Now all she had to do was stall him until Rosalia and the others got back...
