))"It's around 11 pm, near as I can tell," Zak replied. Her head was starting to clear, and the nausea was starting to recede. She begins trying to work the bow out of her tangled hair.
She describes the events in Yarfell after his kidnapping, but there's not much more that he knows- he was kidnapped shortly before she left. "Rose and her 'troupe' left late this afternoon, but I don't know who accompanied her, if anyone. I left Yarfell at that time as well. I wanted to fill in the swamp group on the latest happenings..."
She goes on to detail what she'd learned from them, but her knowledge does not include their visit to the Earth Mother's realm nor their search for Cadbury or the arrival of Alexia. Zak omits the bit about fighting with Sterling, and describes the new warrior "Dawn" briefly.
"Then someone knocked me out, though I never saw who it was. I awoke tied up, with this great ugly raven tying me with ribbons for Venger, somebody's idea of a bad joke...knocked me over the head again..." Her hand finds the two lumps, one of which has a bit of a scab on it, and she rubs it gingerly.
She falls silent, deep in thought- debating on whether to try to contact her god for guidance, or try to continue muddling through on her own. She'd never been in such a dire situation before, and running to Him seemed so cowardly...but on the other hand, perhaps it had been her pride that led her to this tower prison.
