"Preferably not, Dawn," replied Sterling calmly. "I want to keep this raiding party to only two people for a couple of reasons. "First, I doubt Cadbury and Thothalas will be able to build a portal large enough or keep it open long enough for us to get more than two or three people into the Lorekeeper's cell, free Zak, and get her and ourselves out again before it closes." The Dark Elf continued, "If worse comes to worse; and the portal is so small that we can only send one or two people through at a time while holding off the palace guards, I would much prefer two seasoned veterans such as ourselves buying Zak the time she needs to escape. I'm a professional warrior and you're an ex-gladiator, our skills with our weapons would be a powerful advantage we would have over any opposition we may encounter--except for Venger of course."
Pausing for a moment the Swordsman said, "Second, we may only have one shot at this rescue attempt. If anything goes wrong and the portal closes before we can get Zak out of there, I would feel a lot better knowing that it was only the two of us stuck in Venger's castle as opposed to anyone else. Two or three people slipping out of his castle in the middle of the night is quite feasible. Any more than that could be dangerous!"
"Anyway, that's my logic for keeping our numbers low on this operation," summed up the Dark Elf. "I'm quite sure that you guys can find several holes in my reasoning, but that's where I stand on the matter. If anybody else has an opinion, they are welcome to voice it."
