"Roaming right along! (Doog-a-doon doog-a-doon) Footloose and fancy free. Exploring Venger's Fortress is right where I want to be!" Kimmy sang to herself to the tune of one of her favorite Muppet songs.As Kimmy explored, she ended up trying the other staircase. She had peeked through the windows on the other side of the throne room. Iris was singing her filksongs about the gang!
Kimmy clutched at her tummy and tried to muffle her giggles. 'These are great!' she thought.
Leaving the second level balconies, she walked along and sipped from her Mug. "Mmm... Butter pecan coffee. Exploring sure can be thirsty work!"
She peeked into several more boring rooms and came to what she called the magic room! It hadn't even been locked! "Hmph, Venger must not think a lot of his stuff if he doesn't even bother to lock the door! It's probably not even his stuff to begin with. I ought to try and find the original owners. I bet they'd sure be glad to get it back!"
Kimmy tried to pick up some of the Really neat looking items, but found they were sadly immovable. A crystal ball stood on an elaborate stand. Peeking in, she saw that it was sorta tuned into Yarfell.
"Neat!" Kimmy exclaimed and ran her hand over the crystal like she saw a magicain do once. The image of Yarfell clouded over and disappeared. "Oops. I uh, don't see a dial anywhere on this thing to get that station back... hmm."
She ran both hands over the crystal and tried, "A la, peanutbutter sandwiches!" Surprisingly enough, there was a ~Poof!~ but Yarfell didn't come back. The crystal remained clear.
She peered at it and thought she could almost make something out, but she wasn't sure if it was just her reflection. She ended up making faces at herself, laughing as her image distorted itself like in a funhouse.
"Auntie Em! Auntie Em!" she couldn't resist calling out.
Turing around, she saw beakers and potions, cages of mean and hungry looking animals, jars of spell components, and other mysterious implements of magic. Some of the stones and rings she found must've been magic cause they somehow ended up in her cloak pockets without her noticing! Amazing!
After playing around in the wonderful magic room for a while, Kimmy headed out. Maybe she'd come back later. She unfolded the paper she had borrowed from Zaki that had a map of the fortress on it. So far it had been fairly accurate. There had been a few minor changes, mostly to the decor. Kimmy helped by drawing in a few statues here and there with happy faces and added bars to the laboratory room window.
Looking at the map, there was one more room she definitely wanted to check out before she headed upstairs to the towers. She figured she'd explore this Trophy room a bit before she chanced upon running into Cole,Hank, Sheila, Night Steel and the others. Afterall, they were supposed to be the ones doing the rescue mission while she and her group performed. And looked for the Orb! Oh yeah! The Orb....
