Re: A Whole Lotta Magic Going On

Thothalas whistled through his teeth as he considered the magics his friends were asking of him. Cadbury was deep in thought too as she chewed on a carrot from the satchel.

"First, let me say that I'm honored to be asked to perform such magic, but there are many complications. Zakiyah's geas is of divine origin, and godly magic and magi arts do not always easily mesh. The key I think is not to try and break the summoning but to instead divert it or rather infinitely loop the recall. Confuse the path. Even this is extraordinary but perhaps this could be accomplished if we made the spell very specific; that is only for Venger. That being said Venger's will is of such a magnitude that the charm against him will be a true labor. To power this charm and then maintain my first portal may be too much for myself. Believe me, I hate to admit this as much as you hate to hear it."

The young mage seemed crestfallen. Cadbury tapped her foot excitedly and spoke quickly, her eyes on the firemage.

"Cadbury has an idea. Since I know how to forge the charm (well, in theory anyway), I must be the one to cast it; but using Cadbury as a link, another could help supply the power."

Turning serious eyes on Alexia, Thothalas spoke to her.

"We could link our powers for a short time. But it is a very personal experience. For all intents and purposes, our minds, perhaps our souls, will be one. I'd like to say the process is without risk, but you know I'd be lying. There is a good chance of our success, and together we would both still be strong enough to continue with the rescue plan."
