Re: A Whole Lotta Magic Going On

Thothalas fell in step beside Alexia as the little band started toward the fortress. He wished he knew more about their new addition especially since they were going to be trusting their powers together. Hmmm, best way to know somebody is talk, and talking was Thothalas' speciality.

"Fire-mage, eh? I considered specializing in a magical field when I was just starting out. Believe it or not, my element of choice was water. Ha ha! You have to laugh considering how much fire I've been using on this little expedition. But I'm a jack of all trades by nature, just too damn inquisitive as my teachers used to say. Of course, they were usually quite angry when they said that but I took it as a compliment of sorts.

"Portals have been my passion for the last few years. Lucky, really, I mean, with our current need. Portals are tricky stuff. Wheh! Let me tell you when you don't thread that spell just right, well, well, it's best not to think about that."

Whoa! Talk about putting your foot in it. Don't worry about it just keep on moving.

"Ashleyien, tell me, what magics have your performed? Do you feel an affinity or a direction for your skills? I'm always curious about how the Gift manifests itself. I remember the day I cast my first cantrip; I was levitating a stone for a group of masters who had come to test me. Concentration is the key. One mind, one magic. Boy! I learned that the hard way when one of the masters sneezed and the stone shot... Well, let's just say his nick-name was Old One-Eye after that. Pity, really..."

(OOC: Alexia, since we're going to be doing the spell together, I thought we might ought to talk about what we'll see, share, etc. I'm open to any ideas or directions; I think your storyline is great so I'd like the spell to help that story along. Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like.

Ashleyien, do you still have Cadbury? She leapt in your arms when you offered to help with the spell. Running off after just getting back with her mage! The nerve of some bunnies! )
