"Kryssie!" Fairalin shouted, though admittedly it wasn't very loud, the stalagtie had just started to fall, concentrarting Fairalin stirred up the wind just enough and managed to knock it out of the way just in time. It landed right next to Kryshcenn and her reaction was quite obvoius: A startled jump sideways that was nearly fast enough to be considered teleportation and the profuse utilization of a fluent grasp of swear words from at least four distinct languages.
After a second of staring blankly at the stone formation that had nearly skewered her, Kryschenn finally managed to swallow her heart back down into her chest where it belonged. She muttered something angrily to herself, and those who rushed over to see that she was all right only managed to clearly hear the word "Idiot!"
"No, no, I'm okay," she replied to everyone's concern. "I heard Fairalin yell- I didn't know she was back with us but something happened that changed the thing's fall and I think she did it, right Faira? Thanks." She glanced up and saw that the strangely silent Tommy was the only one who didn't really seem concerned about the whole incident. 'He really doesn't like me, and why should he?' she thought. 'If it wasn't for me, we wouldn't have been thrown in the prison. He probably thinks I'm crazy for seeing things that he doesn't, and I'll bet he doesn't like being stuck in a group with a psycho berserk killer.'
Trying but failing to sound confident, she said, "Well, that was close but we're all still in one piece, right? Eric? Can your shield protect all of us until we're out of this cavern? And just to be on the safe side, we should pick a path that doesn't go under any of the stalactites. Unless someone has a better idea."
