    A Mission Plan

Posted by Sterling Coleman on 10/23/2000, 9:11 am , in reply to "Re: Looking In On A Sick Friend..."

Sterling winced as he heard Dan get wacked by a branch. He knew what the taller Adventurer was going through in his personal battle against low hanging branches and the Dark Elf sympathized with him. The Swordsman hated the Swamp as well, but they still had a job to do, as Cadbury brought his attention back to the mission at hand.

Having listened to Thothalas' translation of Cadbury's chatter, the Drow said, "Thanks Cadbury, any information you can give us is greatly appreciated." Addressing the rest of the group, Sterling said, "Okay guys, I have an idea on how to get through this nightmare. Cadbury, Thothalas, and I will be on point. Thothalas, I need you to whip up a spell that will allow us to detect any traps, wards, and glyphs that may have survived the Erl King's tour of this place. We should be able to handle anything that can jump out at us, however, I'm not too certain about any deathtraps that may exist! So if you can take care of that, we would eternally be in your debt. Cadbury, since you're the only person who knows this place well enough, you're going to have to be our navigator."

Turning to the Warrioress and the Fire Mage, Sterling said, "Ashleyien and Alexia, I want you two in the center covering each other and watching our backs as well. Alexia, if you can come up with a spell that can create small jets of fire or a flash attack, then I suggest you keep it handy. Please don't throw any massive fireballs, we don't want to burn the place down around us."

Finally, looking back to the Adventurer and the ex-Gladiator, the Dark Elf said, "Dan and Dawn, I want you guys to keep your weapons ready, your eyes sharp, and cover our rear guard. Once we get to the tower itself, I'm going to need someone to get to a window and serve as lookout. I don't want our escape route cut off by any Bullywugs who decide to come back to check up on their employer."

Summing everything up, Sterling concluded, "Well, that's my plan, if anybody has a better idea, speak now or forever hold your peace."
