((This part takes place before, during, and after the explosion. I'm using Kayla's post to help it make more sense.))"Matthew is this the right one?" Abigail asked Sunny's companion as she and the others followed Kayla into the cave.
"We do seem to be in the right spot," He replied, looking the cave over. "To be honest, I've never actually seen Blaze myself, I just know what I've heard, that's all."
"What is that thing?" She asked as the neared through the mouth of the cave.
"I...don't know." Matthew answered, equally stunned by the discovery.
They entered the cave, and saw a giant robot. “It’s Wing Gundam!” Kayla exclaimed. “What is a Gundam doing in the Realm?” Kayla went to see if Heero Yuy was in the Gundam. “Hello, is anyone there?” There was no answer. She went into the Gundam, “Wow! Look at all these buttons! I wonder what they all do?”
"Kayla are you sure you should be trying to work that, that machine?" Abigail asked as she the Clay dwarf continued to do so.
“You better watch it guys, I’m going to try this out.” Kayla closes the door, and started to make the Gundam walk, “I’m actually tall for once in my life.” She came out of the cave.
"Kayla, wait!" Mathew called out, "Sunny, Abigail, this can't be the right cave! Blaze would be here, so would my uncle and some of the people who were standing watch over him."
"Then how did that robot get here then?" Abby wondered aloud looking at the Gundam Kayla piloted.
After she got a fair distance from the cave she was trying out all of the buttons. She had pulled down the leaver, and a siren went off, there were red lights flashing. “Woops, what did I do?” After she said those words, the Gundam exploded. Kayla was gone for good.
"KAYLAAAAAAAAA!!!" Abby screamed as she saw the robot explode. Immeaditely she rode her horse back down to the site of the wreckage, the others following her. Many of the locals came to help control the fire before it had a chance to spread. Meanwhile, Abby lifted huge portions of the armored suit out of her way as she and the others hoped to find Kayla. They searched for any sign of the Clay Dwarf from the setting of the suns well into nightfall, but to no avail.
In the aftermath of the fire, more of the town residents came to view the wreckage when Abby found one young Maculan tugging on her brick-red cloak. From Kayla's description she knew who the boy was and saw the saddened look in his eyes as he was unable to find the clay dwarf who charged off to help save his town the day before. "What happened?" Conrad asked the Cloaked girl. "Where's Kayla?"
Tears started to well up in the young woman's eyes. "She's gone," Abby answered as she knelt down and comforted the young boy beside her. "She's gone."
