Rosalia continued to distract the guards who had decided to wait until afterwards to resume their duties and bar the great doors. From behind the concealing smoke story, she saw Zanthia become invisible. She concentrated on making Ahya, the buxom blonde heroine of the story more entrancing.As most of the guards in the room said the next few lines of the well-known tale, Rose turned her head to Fay, EO, and Iris and whispered quickly, "I will try to stall the guards from shutting the great doors in case Sheila and the others need more time. I do not know if there is another way out of here. Head out of the Fortress and back to the tents as casually as you can."
She turned back and gave her full attention to the story, not seeing if they all left or not. She knew that if it came down to it, she had a way to escape the guards and Lord Venger by invoking her bargain with Amian. Unfortunately, it would only work for her. Amian would not transport the others out safely... unless they were to make it worth his while. And she could not, in good conscience, allow that.
Rose sighed inwardly and hoped they would all survive this encounter. She hoped Bubbles would be alright and felt a bit apprehensive. It was, after all, her plan to have them act as decoys in the guise of performers.
She hoped again that all would turn out well. For all of their sakes...
It was then that she realized Kimmy was not among them and her eyes scanned the room's upper levels. She now had more reason to try and keep the guards distracted.
