The original post that described everything is linked at the bottom. If you're scaling the walls, then you end up on a sort of walkway that connects all five towers. The 3 big towers have stone stairways going up, and the other 2 have stairs going down (which lead to a second-level landing overlooking the main hall, then continue down to landings that flank the huge main doors. These are the only doors into and out of the fortress.
As for Ingeld, we decided over the list she was a swanmay, captured by Venger for purposes unknown. She was originally intended to be evil, to betry those sent to rescue her. Instead we decided she was simply not all human, and had some strange mannerisms that could be interpreted as threatening.
As a swanmay (a faerie woman) she has the ability to change into a swan. She needs her swan wings to do this, wings she normally keeps disguised on her doll (her 'angel-baby). Venger's taken her wings. She looks human, except that she has the feet of a swan.
She also has the ability to cast a faerie glamour on humans, which means she can alter her appearance or the appearance of others somewhat. It's a weak power of illusion that wil vanish if the person is familiar with faeries and realizes she's doing it. Which is why there shouldn't be any sort of "aura" of anything around her when seen through Steel's "Eye," by the way- the eye shows her as she is, a normal-looking little girl (with swanfeet, though her feet were hidden under her dress- unless the Eye also sees under clothing, too....
). Keith (her cellmate) sees the glamour which is making her seem menacing.
As for her mental state, Ingeld is terrified and mistrustful of any strangers, and will refuse to go with anyone unless they either have her swanwings, or promise to help her find them. If they try to leave the castle without her wings, she'll shriek loudly (or rather, she'll make a strange, very loud honking swan noise that the guards will recognize as hers...*lol*) She will make herself seem threatening to anyone who comes near her, and unless they see through it they will be afraid to touch her.
As to her background story, that's still somewhat up for grabs. Iris suggested that perhaps Venger stole her to use her as leverage against her parents. Perhaps Venger also wanted to try to steal her powers for himself.
Ingeld and Keith are in the tower in the middle. Zak and Tommy are in...let's say the tower furthest from the Black Hills. Is there anyone in the third tower.....??? Could be fun....*g* It's up to you guys. Tommy and Zak are secheduled to be rescued by the swamp crew, BTW...YOU folks don't know that she and Tommy are even there.
