I noticed that Rose was keeping the guards pretty well entranced with her tale, and figured that now was the time to make an exit. I was deeply worried about Kimmy, who had disappeared some time ago, and I hoped that she hadn't got herself into too much trouble. I was also getting more and more concerned for Bubbles's welfare-did she know what she was getting into? ((Iris, are you still with the group-are you going to try to sidle out with me. If you have other plans, just ignore this and I'll sneak out alone )) I met Rose's eyes and an understanding passed between us. I knew that she would get out safely, after she had finished with her captive audience. Turning slowly, I wandered out in the general direction of the door. Strangely, I felt even more nervous now than I had in front of Venger. I hoped I didn't get any hassle for just walking out. As I walked, I reflected on what we'd just done, and looked towards Iris. "Can you remember the way we came in?" I murmured to the Bard. I hoped so, because my sense of direction was pretty lousy at the best of times.
