Bull, the leader of one of the many troops, was the only leader still awake. He envied Venger his time with the dancer, and yet... he shuddered as he glanced at the remains of the two guards Venger had blasted. That could have easily been himself. He shook his head. No female was worth that. Not even that dancer.Bull looked up at the huge vision of the well-endowed Ahya the Storyteller had given them. He had tried to get her and the others out as Venger ordered, but she had dropped the money and performed for him and his men before he could stop her. His eyes caught the image again as another piece of clothing fell off the blonde heroine and he grinned in appreciation, even though he knew it was just an illusion.
'Well, the Storyteller is good,' he thought, 'and the men are certainly enjoying the show. And as long as Venger's orders are fulfilled, all will turn out well. Might as well enjoy the view. And who knows, perhaps the Storyteller or one of the others would like to be rewarded in another manner.' Hi grin twisted back to his usual leer.
He noticed that some of the performers were walking out of the room. He shrugged. They knew the way to their tents. No need to spare an escort for them.
Though Bull didn't want to leave the show, he thought it would be in his best interest to do the quick routine of walking the floors to make sure all was well. Staying clear of Venger's private chambers. Can't have ANYTHING disturbing the dark lord this night!
Bull walked past his men and up to the second floor. He watched from above until he had to turn the corner into the hall. A strange bright purple mark caught his attention. It was scrawled on the corner at a low height and as he bent to read it, he caught a whiff of what smelled like wine gone bad. Wrinkling his nose, he read the words and saw the image... but it didn't make sense.
"'Kimmy wuz here, '00'?" he said, puzzled. And what was that funny image of a person with big eyes peering over a wall? And with one horn out the side of it's head? Huh."
He walked swiftly along patrolling the halls, eager to get back.
