Ashleyien suddenly felt a strong wave of fear wash over her as a green glow infiltrated the portal. “What’s happening?” She asked no one in particular. She knew something was very wrong and that this plan was definitely not going to work. She heard Sterling call to Thothalas about closing the portal after Dawn. “I hope his back-up plan is a good one.” She wondered aloud as she looked at the Elven Mage.
The little bunny still looked quite dead and whatever that green glow was it seemed to weaken Thoth even more. The portal was closing at a rapid pace. “I don’t even think he can hold it long enough for Dawn to get back through.” She mumbled to herself. She thought that he looked like he’d pass out any second now. She put a hand on his shoulder, just for as show of friendly support and it left her closer if he did fall, but something happened. She didn’t know what it was or how to explain it but she felt the power within her grow and reach out to the mage. Her magic somehow linked to his, adding her strength to the portal. The portal stabilized slightly, but if felt like the green glow would destroy it any second. She hoped that it would hold it until Dawn was able to come back through it.
“Hurry Dawn! This isn’t going to last much longer!”
