Sterling watched as his fast-track back to the Swamp closed on him, as Venger burst through the cell door into the room. The Dark Elf realized that he must've caught the Dark Lord sleeping because he hadn't bothered to slip on any clothes--not even a robe!Venger's fury was beyond compare when he recognized the drow...a drow he'd killed not long ago for his disobedience! Things were rapidly slipping out of hand, and if there was one thing Venger hated, it was not knowing what was going on. "D'YVAR IRZEN! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"
Sterling felt a seering anger wash over him as the Dark Lord demanded an answer to his question. Thinking on his feet, the Drow realized that if he was in a room that nullified magic, it probably nullified Venger's magic as well!
Smiling with an evil grin from ear to ear, the Drow stood before the Dark Lord and said, "You must forgive me, Lord Venger, but my friends and I were trying to free the Lorekeeper and we failed miserably--as you can see! But my friends and I have a message that we wish to give to you. The message is Water sleeps--"
While Venger waited to hear the rest of the message; Sterling, with sword still in hand, made a quick slice at the Dark Lord's manhood, sending it rolling to a far corner of the cell! The Drow realized that while Evenflow was no longer a magical sword, it was still a sword nonetheless! While Evenflow could no longer cut through anything, the blade was still sharp enough to cut through flesh!
At first the pain didn't register, then as the dark purplish blood began to issue forth from his wound, Venger howled in pain as he dropped to his knees covering his absent member with both of his hands!
"--But your enemies don't!" concluded the Drow as he stood over the Dark Lord. Raising his sword and driving it through what he hoped to be Venger's heart, the Swordsman expertly twisted Evenflow inside of the Dark Lord's back as he screamed in pain, and then yanked the blade out increasing the damage that he had already done to his enemy.
"Do you think you can make it out of this room before you bleed to death and die, Venger!" sneered the Dark Elf as the Dark Lord quivered on the floor in pain and shock. "Let's see if you can do it! I'm going to give you the same chance you gave me, when you left me to die on that hillside a month ago--NONE!"
Borrowing a line from The Terminator, the Swordsman walked over to Zakiyah and offered the Lorekeeper his hand and coldly saying, "Come with me if you want to live!"
Looking over at The Gamer, Sterling said in plain English, "Tommy, we are leaving!" And with that the Dark Elf led his friends through the open cell door, kicking the door closed behind him and leaving the Dark Lord of the Realm in a world of hurt!
A Point To Ponder

((OOC: I have to give credit to Glen Cook, the author of the Black Company series for the term Water Sleeps. It was too good not to use and simply too oppotune not to pass up!))
