"See, nothing to worry about, Ingeld." Cole assured the swanmay, who finally seemed to be giving the dark clothed Mentalist the benefit of the doubt. She then released one of her hands from her "Angel-baby' and began to reach for for the Mentalist's hand. She even dropped her illusion as well, revealing her true appearance, the same one her rescuers saw in the Eye of Kamalor. Cole smiled as he finally seemed to be making some progress in gaining her trust. "Nothing to worry about at all, Ingeld. You'll be just fi- WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT!?!?" A loud howl echoed over the night, reverberating through the prison walls. Ingeld immeadiately retreated back to her frightened state upon hearing the sound. Cole had no clue what it was but the Ranger seemed to recognize the voice all to well. "Venger! Cole grab Ingeld NOW!"
"Her wings?" Cole asked as he looked into the eyes of the frightened fairy-child.
"If she's here then it's likely the wings are too!" Hank told him, "Now MOVE!!!"
"Ingeld, we're not going to hurt you." he tried to assure the frightened child as he neared her. However, she paniced and ran from the Mentalist, honking as loud as she could. Cole then removed his cape and ran after her, hoping to trap her in it. Del Tigre then cornered the swanmay. "Gotcha!" Cole yelled throwing his cape over the child.
He then hurriedly removed the leather strap from his left arm and, after a brief struggle, was able to tie the swanmay up with his cape and the strap, however, Ingeld's very noticeable swan feet stuck out of the cape. Cole then held the bundled up swanmay in his arms, trying to keep her from squirming loose. He also kept a hand over her mouth but a continuous series of muffled honks could still be heard. "Okay, Hank, we got her," Cole told him, "now how are we going to get out of this place in one piece? Whatever guards Venger has probably heard that howl too, you know?"
