"Hey!" she protested, startled, as the drow suddenly turned and began ripping at her dress. Her struggles didn't aid his ability to rip a straight line, and his ministrations left her with half a tunic, dangling with ragged threads a little above her navel. "What the HELL do you think you're doing? " She got the idea a moment later when he grabbed her hands and tied them behind her back, then repeated this on Tommy. Who died and made YOU king of the Realm? she wondered, irritated at his self-assured attitude. It was all the more irritating that he had any confidence at all, when hers was so flattened lately.
"A brilliant plan," she said petulantly after he'd explained it, only a slight edge of sarcasm in her voice, "except that you don't LOOK like a soldier of Venger's...not to mention he'd never order prisoners out in the middle of the night..." Still, better than nothing. She could predict his response, and beat him to it. "And NO, I don't have a better one! You realize I'll give you away, of course, if they happen to ask me anything directly," she warned him as they set off again.
((I find their antagonism most amusing....*lol* who knows, it could be the start of a beautiful friendship! But let's not get too far ahead- don't want to leave Tommy too far behind! We're still on the stairs at this point, correct?))
