    "Well, You better get hopping," Hank told him, "'cause it sounds like unwanted company is heading this way."

    "Fine, just don't forget to save my butt when it gets kicked by a bunch of guards." Cole responded as Hank fired an arrow stretched from the tower to the stairwell Cole indicated. The Mentalist Cole then leaped from the tower. His gem-based psionics allowed him to cover the distance between the two towers with relative ease.Protected in the field which enabled him to make the jump, his waining telekinesis allowed him to adhere to the stony surface. Peering through the bars of the cell he saw guardsmen savagely attacking an already bloodied individual, with other bodies laying beside him.

    Suspecting the worst, that Venger ordered his captives to be dispatched, the Mentalist felt a rush of anger suddenly come upon him. "ENOUGH!!!" Cole yelled from outside, drawing one of the energy arrows from his belt. The guards turned their attention to the Mentalist only to see him use the weapon to blow a whole into the side of the cell. Cole knew the sheilding which protected him from the blast was going to fade and his power ability to access the Stone's power was just about gone. He then stood with both feet inside of the cell, his right hand holding the Stone of Zarpathos and the second arrow behind the wall's outer surface. Only the arrow carried any active power and it would be useless if he brought it inside the prison. The guards who hacked at the bloody individual pulled the swords from the body of their master and prepared to engage the dark figure awaiting them just outside the prison walls. They were not about to allow their sole opportunity to be free of his will to be taken from them so easily.
