Sterling knew that the charade was over, the lady Kimmy had identified as Rose had magically conjured up a smokescreen that--illusion or not--was causing Venger's soldiers to question the wisdom of attacking her and/or getting to the door! Having witnessed the disintegration of one of the guards; the Swordsman realized that this new person was more than capable of taking care of herself, but could still be in the need of some help. With the leader of the guards disarmed, four of the guards trapped within the circle of smoke unable to get to the doorway, and another four of them coming up the stairway to challenge them, the Drow did the only thing that he could do. "Adeline, head's up!" Reaching behind his back with his free hand, the Dark Elf grabbed the Elf maiden's blade and tossed her sword over to her, hoping that she could get her hands free of the slipknot in time to catch her blade.
