Moving past the Cambion, Sterling did his best to ignore Bubbles tirade while he ushered his friends down the stairway. As the fortress began to shake and fall apart around them, the Dark Elf realized that they had no time left for any arguments or recriminations.
So focused was the Swordsman on getting his friends out of the collapsing fortress; that the Drow didn't see Bubbles leaping after him, nor Tommy's fall from the stairs nor Bubbles attempt to retrieve him. The only thing that he took notice of was the immediate threat posed by four guards at the foot of the stairway who were advancing towards them!
