((Since I've only gotten two responses to this from the mailing list (Thanks Tommy and Kimmy!), I thought I'd better post it here and see if someone else responds.))((I'm running this up the flagpole to see who salutes.
((With Venger effectively out of the picture for now and his HQ falling to rock dust around you, who wants me to teleport everyone out of there? I figure Fay and I are about halfway there, close enough to see what's happening but still out of the danger zone. When our guards see what's going on, they'll head for the horizon. I plan to use part of "Show Me the Way" to help you guys escape, unless someone has another song that would be better. (If you do, send me the title, singer/band, and the lyrics you want me to quote.) Ovals of rainbowy light (portals, kind of like the *dimension door* spell) will appear in a place you can reach easily, and you'll be able to see Fay and me on the other side. Jump through and you'll be with us. I'll just be doing scattershot portals near anything living, so it's possible that some will appear near Venger's guards, or rats, or anything else animal in the place.
((Another thing I plan to do is use this to show another property of my lute. One of the guards will have it, but when he flees, it'll appear in my hands. It's bonded to me, so to speak, and the only way I can get rid of it is to give it to someone worthy as a permanent gift, not merely loaning it.

It's from the Jem cartoon again, and Iris is trying to get into the minds of her friends and sing it from what might be their point of view in the hopes the portals will appear near them. The thing is, some of the mercenary guards Venger hired are feeling much the same way, and portals appear near them too.))
