At that moment, the metal box inside his shirt exploded open and the implements like faeries on wings, flew out, danced and played at the speed of light, using the wood from a nearby tree, instantly fashioned a wooded (albeit crude) wooden shield, and settled it into his hands.
Pulling it in front of himself, but still not convinced of his safety beared himself for an attack and yelled, "Help!"
