Re: Lost and confused...and now hypnotized....

"Fay, we just need you to try." the Mentalist said, trying to encourage her.
"Trust in your abilities," Cole added as he and a few others watched over Krys
in the ante room. However, with the sounds of escalating conflict coming from
down the hall, Cole takes his leave of Krys and Fay and runs back to the
ballroom the others are engaged in battle with the doppleganger.

I smiled at Cole. "OK, I'll do my best." Focussing my mind, I tried to clear it of any thoughts that might intrude. I felt my hands begin to warm, and a strange feeling. almost of dizziness, begin to overtake me. It had been a long time...
Closing my eyes and placing my hand on Krys's brow, I began to speak:

    "Spirit above, earth below
I ask you, by all that is true, pure and just
To guide this soul, and heal this body
Of my dear friend Krys, one true and brave
Heal now, in the name of all that is sacred
Bind and protect her from all that would harm
And heal her now, from within and without."

The warmth in my hands seemed to grow, and instinctively I began to move them, hovering about an inch above Krys. I slowly moved from the top of her head downwards, feeling the warmth in my hands radiate out and over Krys's still unconscious body. I felt at peace, yet strangely elated as I continued, not daring to break the spell that I had, somehow, managed to cast.

At last I opened my eyes again, and couldn't remember a word I'd said. But somehow, on some level, it seemed to be working. Krys seemed to stir, and as she opened her eyes, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I didn't know how well the spell had worked, but at least she was awake again.

"How do you feel?" I asked her gently. I hoped that I'd at least done some good.

I never knew I had it in me, I thought, looking around at the others. I really hoped Kim was around somewhere, as after all the effort I desperately needed a coffee! In the corridor, the sounds of battle continued. I hoped the side of good was winning. Seeing Cole rush out to assist, I was struck with a pang of guilt. A lot of good I am, I thought, I really need to get some sort of weapons training.

((How well my spell worked is up to you guys, especially Krys, if it's totally worked then great, if not, does someone else want to help? ))
