Rosalia ran through the halls, now changed out of her gown and into her comfortable traveling clothes. She heard shouting and the sounds of what seemed to be a battle. By the time she reached the group, all had ended and she could hear the voice of the Princess.Standing at the back of the group, Rose heard a snort of derision. Turning her head, she heard Amian exclaim softly, "Has the whole of the NetherPlane broke loose in Yarfell that all these lesser demons and riffraff are allowed to run amok?" He waved his hand negligently in the air.
Rose glared at him to be silent and he shrugged and disapated into mist. She heard the Princess demand an explanation for the group's behavior. As they pointed at a greyish body on the floor, she heard a whisper say in disgust, "A doppelganger. You can tell by the mere stench," before the group expounded on the creature's appearance.
The Princess seemed agast that she had been under the influence of the thing and for a moment, seemed unsure of herself as it turned out one of her guards was a spy as found out by the woman with the mirror.
Rose felt sympathy for the Princess, having to deal with so much so soon after her father's death and took a step forward. Passing the woman called, Bubbles, Rose cast a sharp glance at her as she felt a strange feeling in the palms of her hands. One she had felt before in the presence of other...
Shaking her head slightly, she told herself she would find out more about this later. Right now, she needed to concentrate on the Princess.
"Your Highness," Rose said gently, as she came forward and made a bow, "If I may be permitted to make a suggestion, perhaps now is the time to meet with the Councillor and the rest of your committee to discuss what has transpired. You may feel safe in giving your trust to him who has served your father faithfully, long and well. He has only you and the welfare of the City at heart."
