: The Drow walked over to Tommy and put
: his hand on his shoulder, "Tommy,
: we've known each other for a long time,
: and I need a big favor from you. I don't
: know what choice you've made, but I would
: like for you to go to the city and help
: Kimmy and the others.
: "The only reason why I'm asking
: this of you is because you're one of the
: most resourceful people that I've ever
: met. And that if--or when--Venger should
: pop up there, I would feel a little better
: knowing that you were standing with the
: others ready to oppose him. The choice is
: yours to make, and I'll abide by whatever
: you decide, but I would appreciate it if
: you would do this for me."
"Well, I was planning on going to the swamp, but you've convinced me." There was a slight sarcastic edge to Tommy's voice. "From the timing of things, and what Dungeon Master has, and hasn't, told us, I suspect that the swamp group should arrive just in time for the almost inevitable battle with Venger. However, I know what my swamp experience is, and I know what Tommy's swamp experience is - well, probably, and I make a better diplomat than an explorer. And even if I don't have any of the natural abilities of Amberite Tommy, I'm not totally useless in combat, if it should come to that." He paused. "Where was I? Oh, right, you were trying to get me to do you a favour by doing what I already intended. Or, more precisely, you were trying to sugar-coat your habit of bossing people around." He laughed. "No, seriously, I agree that my talents would best fit the city expedition, and not just because the swamp stinks. Although it does look at this point like there are more city folk than other. From what I've gathered that was actually supposed to be the smaller group. On the other hand, I don't see why anyone should be forced to go somewhere against their will. On the gripping hand, you know that it's an old habit of mine to do anything other than what the GM, or in this case, Dungeon Master, expects."
