Fairalin watched her new friends go through the portal Zak had created and worried, swamps could so dangerous, and somehow she had the feeling that they would be in much greater danger then she. Perhaps, no she was still very weak.. but she could pull it off she knew she could if only..... perhaps she could persuade the earth to look after them, she was a creature of magic now, and more exactly, earth magic, it wouldn't hurt to ask would it?
She relaxed and slowly let herself float to the ground. She landed, sitting, and bowed her head. She began gathering her power, concentrating it in her hands. Her hair began to blow behind her in a breeze that wasn’t necessary there and a web of green power began spreading our around her on the ground. She kept gathering power and expanding then web until she felt it was just perfect and then closing her eyes she whispered “Earth? Nature? I need a favor.” and to her mild surprise she felt a slight pressure in her mind and heard a soft, sweet, kind, feminine voice respond “Yes child?”
She couldn’t help but smile as she kept going, it had worked! “Please Lady, friends of mine are going into a place where there could be great danger, I’m worried for them, please protect them for me.”
The voice seemed to contemplate this “They are undoubtedly mortal daughter, what do you care for them?” it asked, same good kind voice.
“They are my friends Mother, that is all that matters. They are all fighters but even a magiced blade can not turn aside certain powers, even I know that.” Fairalin responded
The voice seemed to contemplate again “Who are these friends of yours child and where are they going?”
Fairalin quickly sent the information, Fairalin got the impression of the voice nodding approvingly and then she(the voice) said “They are good enough people daughter, but stand up and open your eyes, I wish to speak to you directly.”
The Fairy did as she was bade and gasped when her eyes came open, standing infront of her was a women just a wee bit taller then herself, she had long, slightly curly copper brown hair and shimmering green eyes. At the girls gasp mother earth shook her head “I took a form I knew you would understand small one. As for your friends, I will protect them as best I can, but do not expect much, they must find the way for them selves.”
Fairalin nodded “I will be grateful for what ever is given.”
‘Tell me daughter,” the apparition asked her “Where are you going while your friends go to a swamp?”
Faira quickly explained about Dungeon Master and the charge “Well you shall be well enough then, you say that the little meddler told you that they went back to there realm or that they went home?”Nature asked
She thought it over “Just home, I believe Lady, though I might not be recalling right.”
Mother Earth thought this over and then nodded “Then before I go I will give you a few words of advice. Remember Daughter, Home is where the heart is but absence can make the heart forget.” then she seemed to start to fade and just before she disappeared into the darkness she called “May the right prevail and the balance kept!” then she was gone.
Fairalin gasped and her eyes flew open, she stood up and smiled, dispensing the power she held inside, that hadn’t cost anything at all! She even felt energized! Still smiling she shot up in the air and spun around before calling everyone’s attention. She repeated Mother Nature’s message and then said “Well peoples lets get going! I wanna see those gardens!”
