Listening intently, Kryschenn gaped openly at the little faerie. The Lady had appeared and spoken to one of them, and She had indicated they would be well enough off in their quest? That, more than anything, served to dispel her nagging fear about Dungeon Master's strange count when suggesting the group divide up. She wished fervently she could have seen the Mother for herself. Instead, looking to where Fairalin had indicated She had been, Kryschenn gestured a salute with a cupped hand and whispered to Nature and no one else, "Great Lady, I thank you for your beneficience and generosity. Go if you must; stay if you will. Hail, and fare well."
Still, something didn't quite seem right.
Home is where the heart is...how strange. She thought she remembered reading something by that title on the Realm website. The gist of the story was not lost on her. Oddly enough, it was looking less and less like the Young Ones had really returned to Earth. Still, there was only one way to find out for sure.
"Fairalin's right, guys. However many people we've got, we should get going to the city. We're facing an 8-day deadline." (Deadlines were something she was quite comfortable with since back on Earth, she worked at a regional newspaper.) "Five of us, ten of us, even a thousand of us if enough people hit the wrong URL and get sucked into this place." Quickly, she glanced up, knowing that by the way her luck ran, now that it was out of her mouth, a thousand surprised and unusually garbed people would come dropping out of the sky and squash her. Nope...maybe her luck was changing in this place. "We'll figure out what Dungeon Master meant by five of us when we get there."
