Zak yelps as someone tears the previous portal page from her book, and the swamp-doorway vanishes. Again, it felt like someone had yanked out a handful of hair, except from the inside..."Ouch!!" She blinks back tears as the pain fades. It was obvious what had happened- they'd misunderstood her directions. Sterling had the Yarfell portal...now he had the Stinkwell one as well. "Sterling, I said...." But it was pointless- they wouldn't hear, being leagues away now.
She shakes her head in annoyance, making sure nobody'd decided to take away the current door directly to Yarfell too. She hoped, when the time came, that the swamp gang would use the right piece of paper- for they would look exactly the same.
Two pages missing....well, that's not so bad, is it? Zak tried to brush off her unease that this might not be a good thing. What if someone else found them...? She frowned to herself. It would be harsh indeed if someone figured out that they were little bits of HER....
