Ral wasn't doing much better. If you knew where to look, you'd see his rope glistening slightly,that his staff seemed to dissapear into said robe, and if you had a healthy dose of paranoia, you might think that "All Seeing Yet Half Asleep" design on his robe just blinked. But, Ral happened to be the most paranoid member of this group, and he was busy dodging several nasty looking spears with a speed and grace Ral KNEW he didn't posess. Guess DM did to me what he did to Sterling, Ral mused, as he leaped over a spear thrust, I just whish I knew how to fight back..
Friends, whishes are often stupid to make, because Gawd knows WHO will be listening. And beings who have enough free time to listen to folk's wishes, often have sick enough senses of humor to GRANT said wishes, in fun and educational ways. This being said, Ral got his wish.
"AHHGH!" He screamed, and you would to if you had a spear in your shoulder, and a rancid smelling Bullywug was Much To Close. What you wouldn't do, is yell out "YA!" and in a binding motion, shatter the spear haft with one blow, and the Bullywugs jaw with another, then twist around in An Awfuly Impressive Spin, and start fighting off 'Wugs with your staff, returned from nowhere. Rad did, except for the spin part. Instead, he did something stupid.
"How the HELL did I do that?!" Ral said, rather stupidly torn between stareing at his hands, the Bullywug, which just *lied* there, and the broken spear that was still in his shoulder. This time, he didn't say sometihng stupid, or mabye he did, yer call "Umm...help?" in a meek, I Think I'm In Shock, voice. Stupid, ne?
