: "Well, Mentalist," she asked, not : taking her eyes off the advancing army, : "what are we really facing : here?" "Gimme a sec. Okay, let's see exactly what were up against." Cole pulled out his gem as the advacing orc armies closed in on their position. Scanning through the orc troops he had difficulty sensing anything. Were orcs immune to telepathy, he thought to himself as hurriedly searched for even a stray thought from the oncoming horde only to find nothing, except-"One! I'm only sensing one mind out of all of this, but its not even here. It's coming from the palace and...uh-oh, she's on to me! Wait! Don't...we're not...no!" With that the illusion of the 'orcs' vanishes and the mentalist is left to explain what had just happened. "Um," He began in an apologetic voice, "I think that when I levitated over the hill to get a better look at the orcs, someone from Yarfell must have spotted me and ordered to have the 'orc' army to drive us away." He continued while looking at his outfit, "I guess having a predominately black costume probably wasn't such a good idea after all. Sorry." Looking around at his allies who, just moments ago, were prepared for battle against what may have been overwhelming odds, the mentalist still had more bad news to bear. "When I telepathically saw into the illusionist's mind, she saw through mine as well and saw us: Fairalin, Zeo and her guns, and the rest of us with our weapons. The girl freaked out and alerted the queen. I tried to explain our purpose here, but she didn't believe me thinking it was, as she called it 'another lie'. Don't put your weapons away guys, because when I severed our psi-link the last thing I saw was the queen ordering her 'real' champions to intercept us. They still think we're the bad guys...and they're headed this way."
