Another point to consider: According to DM, King Zaramedes was succeeded by his daughter, who was named after Diana. This implies that his daughter is old enough to actually be making decisions for the country, which leads us towards concluding at least 15 years have passed. Not conclusive evidence, certainly, but, as Sterling would say...
