Kryschenn and the Young Ones finally managed to push their way through the crowd and arrive on the scene. Krys knew there might be trouble when she'd noticed earlier that they were getting separated. And of course, it did. Right when she'd heard the cry for help and Faira had flown off her shoulder, the crowds of people somehow managed to close in, cutting them off from their friends. It had taken them too long to try to push through, though the crowd had quickly parted when she had pulled her sword and swung wildly while screaming something in Gallic that she didn't want to translate, at the same moment that Bobby had charged with his club and Hank had fired an exploding arrow above the heads of the people.
Well, terrific. Here she had come along specifically to protect this group, and already she had blown it. "Zeo, kiddo, I'm sorry," she apologized. "Are you all right? We got cut off from you guys. I am so sorry."
Although, maybe, in a way, it was a good thing. She didn't like the idea of hurting someone under most circumstances, but in self defense or the defense of one of her friends, there was no telling what she would have done to those creeps.
She didn't mention the ghostly eyes she had seen and Fairalin had sensed earlier. Something was watching them. And she was hoping that whatever it was, it was not increasing the level of tension already at the boiling point.
"Guys, no more getting separated," she advised. "Let's get to the castle and get settled. Um, hello," she said to Cassandra. "Is that Cassandra as in the seer in The Trojan Women and Agammemnon and all?"
