: (It's just my character saying it. I've been
: reading the posts.)
: "So, let me get this straight." I
: said as me and Krys approached the
: corridors leading to the guest chambers.
: "We're stuck in this realm to battle
: a major demon with a bad attitude who's
: trying to take our weapons and conquer
: this place, am I correct? Also, this has
: happened before, as we're not the only
: ones who got pulled in here, right?"
:
"So far, so good," Krys answered. "These people...Diana, and Hank and Sheila and Eric and the one they call Presto, and Bobby, and Terri, they're all from Earth. So were some other people but I think they all made it back. Let's just think of it that way. This whole world and those people, everything is somehow based on a cartoon series that aired about 15 years ago. Venger is the demon in question...and he's trying to take this city. We're supposed to stop him, but at this point, we're not 100% sure why he wants this city. We were all given magic weapons from the Dragons' Graveyard to help fight him, I guess." ((Do dragons drink Starbucks?)) "I got a sword and a set of bagpipes- yes, I can play- but I don't know which is magical. Some of us are still ourselves, some of us were turned into races from this Realm...like Kimmy being part kender, or Fairalin, or Sterling, though you didn't meet him. Some of us, like me, took on different personas...I think right now I've been taken over by the character I developed in a million all-night D&D marathons." That was a scary thought, which made Kryschenn pause. Whoa. That would explain a lot of things, like speaking Gallic, or knowing how to wield a sword so well...or why DM called her a berserker. Was the fictional Kryschenn here and making herself known?
"Um," she managed, hoping Cassandra didn't notice her pause. "There was another group of us which went through a portal to the swamp, to find a wizard named Gareth. I hope they're all right. Anyway, the princess of this city is about to hand Venger the keys to the gates, so to speak. We're all here to stop that. Also," she dropped to a conspiratorial whisper, "a lot of us have made it our mission to get Hank and Sheila toghether."
They had arrived at Terri's room, looking in on the comatose girl. "Terri's a Dreamer. She can see the future and that scares Venger. He may be doing this to her." They looked around, waiting for Cole to arrive and give his opinion.
((I may have trouble logging in for the next couple of days. I have to disassemble the ol' computer and figure out where that unearthly scream is coming from. If you don't hear from me, assume Krys has wandered off through the castle and is doing a little poking around to try to figure out just why the princess is doing what she is.))
