--Cole doesn't know this but his 'mind gem' actually has another name in the Realm: The Stone of Zarpathos. To the best of my knowledge the Stone of Zarpathos doesn't actually exist in D&D continuity but for the sake of the story it does. It was used by several centuries ago by mentalist Tatriana Zarpathos, a long forgotten heroine of the Realm. It is possible that this 'Dream Demon', Zakiyah, Rosalia, Venger, and any others who know of the Realm's history are aware of it's existance. However, Cole, at least at this point, doesn't know it's true origin and calls it the 'Mind Gem' cause of the similarity in appearance and power to the Marvel Comics Universe device of the same name.
