"Yeah!" the bleeding mentalist said as the Dreamer battled the creature who held her captive. "You go, Girl!" Still, despite her efforts, the battle seemed to be at a standstill. Ignoring the considerable pain he was in, Cole concentrated, trying to conjure a weapon he thought would help turn the tide toward the Dreamer's favor. "I will still have you as my prisoner," the Treabor said , bringing his sword down on Terri. "for a still have power to draw upon in this domain." "It doesn't matter," Terri replied, blocking the dream demon's blade with her own. "We will still beat you, and once we bring you back to the real world the others will stop you once and for all!" "'We,'" the Pale Lord answered. "I am far from being defeated by you, and as for the Zarpathos-scion, he is but a novice, incapable of harming me!" "We'll...see about that." Cole said aiming his new toy at the Treabor. Suddenly, the Dream Demon dropped to the steps, screaming in agony as both of his kneecaps were shot off. Turning toward the mentalist, the Dream Demon say in his hands a Walther P 38 with a scope and several other attachments that allowed this particular handgun to draw upon Anti-Matter. Cole waved back at the surprised dream demon. It didn't matter if the Treabor knew what Anti-matter was or not, for as Cole and Terri already discovered it was the thought that counts. "Attack them my pets!" the crippled Treabor ordered. His nightmare creatures climbed the stairway at such a speed that they would be upon the Dreamer and the bleeding Mentalist in moments. "What'll we do now Cole?" Terri asked, "Those things tore up your double in seconds." "Yeah, I know!" Cole answered aiming his gun at them while fading in and out of consciousness, "I think...were going to need a...a miracle!" Almost on cue, a tremor of a much greater magnitude than the one Cole had caused earlier shook the dreamscape as gigantic stalagmites erupted through the floor of the Treabor's throne room. It was a quake of such power that it began to crumble the entire structure. Then the stairway, with all of the Treabor's pets began to collapse. Beneath it opened a great chasm, which swallowed the monsters as they fell in and sealed itself after the last one fell through. "Tremors and earthworks...They are...nature-related phenomena...Fairalin?" injured man in black wondered as the structure they were in now fell around them. Abandoning the battle to save the wounded Cole, Terri grabbed his hand and teleported out of there leaving the Treabor to be burried under the falling ceiling. Now a safe distance away, the two watched as the remaining pieces of the Treabor's dream palace fell. "Um, Terri," Cole began to ask of the Dreamer. "Yes, Cole?" she replied. "Could you pull this sword out of me, please." "Oh my," She quickly stood over him, both hands with a firm grip on the handle of the Dream Demon's broadsword. "This may hurt a little." "Good. That'll be less than it hurts now." Cole said as she yanked out the sword. The moment it was free the mentalist sprang to his feet, his wound now healed. "So what's the big deal with Yarfell?" he asked as they walked back to the ruined palace looking for the Treabor. "There is a piece of a powerful staff there which we need to get assembled in order to stop Venger." She answered, "Your friends already found it." "Oh, do you know where the other pieces are, too?" He wondered. "Some of them. But it's all kind of sketchy. I'll explain what I know when we get back." She said "Now where did he go?" Then from underneath the rubble a small little demon creature popped it's head out. When it saw the pair it tried to scurry back under the debris but they both saw him and after a little digging, they caught Treabor. "We can't leave you running around here, Treabor!" "Unhand me, girl!" the little rat-sized creature said as it squirmed out of her hand. "Not so fast!" Cole answered pinning the creature with his foot. Then he and Terri discussed options for how they were going to bring it back. The little creature couldn't hear that well under Cole's, boot but it didn't like the sound of the term "Spirit Bomb" which it heard the mentalist mentioned several times. After further deliberation Terri stood a few yards back, the air around her coming alive with energy. "Cole, are you sure about this!" Terri asked, "It seems like a bit of overkill to me!" "Sure I'm sure!" the man in black replied, grabbing the Treabor and tossing him into the air. "Okay." the Dreamer said aiming skyward "Look out Yarfell, here we come!" One blinding flash of light later, Cole wakes up and with the others present sees a small little monster shoot out of Terri's body, hitting the ceiling and landing unconscious on the floor. "Hey Presto, Zeo do you guys have a jar or something we can put that thing in?" he asked as he then saw the Dreamer yawn and stretch out her arms, beginning to wake. There was something of a smile on her face. However, Iris, the woman who agreed to act as Cole's psionic anchor seemed to be out, apparently suffering from an adverse reaction to attempting to utilize the mind gem with Cole. "Omigod! Iris, wake up!"
((Hey, Iris, where are you. Hopefully you aren't mad that I jumped into this part w/o you!))
