Zak motions for the other two (Kryschenn & Cassandra) to follow her out of the catacombs. "Let's get out of here, it's giving me the creeping willies..."At their request, she tells them what she's learned about the artifact (see previous post...*g*). "...and if this really IS the staff of Yarfell, as it's described in my books. I don't entirely trust what Wyrwindor has to say on the matter, but I do know that the Staff of Yarfell can summon something big and mean, and that whoever holds the staff can control it. And I know Venger tried using it once, a long time ago, and it was split up and broken. And I know he's looking for it now, because he was pestering me for information about it."
She pauses for a moment. "He wouldn't tell me why he wanted it, only that he has a plan. But I have an idea why. The staff alone is very powerful, but if used with the other two rods, it makes portals. Venger probably didn't have much interest in trying to get the Yarfell one, since he'd already tried it and failed. So why the interest now...? I think he might have found one of the other two."
She glances at them, to see how they react to her tale, remebering Kryschenn's last question. "He told me he knows it's been found. I don't know how he knew. But...this much more I have to tell you: ONce you have one of the staffs, you can find the other two. Venger doesn't know it yet. I don't think. Somehow, the staff can point you in the direction of where the other two lie. But Wyrwindor's Guide didn't say HOW to do this..."
She turns her face away, looking at the floor. "You need to act quickly. Venger will find this out by the end of a week, if not sooner. If he gets to the last one before we do...well, I don't know what will happen, but it won't be good..."
