Re: Dawn of A New Day ((Swamp))

As Dan explained to Sterling his decision to leave the others, the Swordsman smiled and thanked the Adventurer for his concern. The Dark Elf really felt honored that he had a good group of friends that were looking after him, as much as he was trying to look after them!

Still, he was concerned about their future because they not only had to face the considerable dangers that the swamp held but also a group of kill-crazy Drow who appeared to be their equal in every way. The Swordsman believed that if they were ever going to survive this mission, find Gareth, and reach Yarfell it would be by the very grace of God himself!

However, his concerns were washed away for the moment when he saw the rest of his friends waiting for he and Dan just outside the North Gate.

"Good morning, eveyone, how are you guys--" began the Swordsman before he was interrupted by his two escorts who pushed him to the ground, while the third one tossed the Drow his sword.

"Get out of town, Elf, and don't come back! And the same goes for the rest of you!" cried one of the Deputies angrily addressing the group.

"Yeah!" chimed in the second one in a similar tone. "Beat it, you troublemakers or else!" Pointing up to one of the guard towers where two men ominously watched them with longbows at the ready."

As Sterling got to his feet, he calmly walked over to where his sheathed sword lay, slipped his left foot under the pommel of the blade, and skillfully knee-jerked it upwards, catching it in his left hand. His three escorts were unable to hide their surprise at his skill as he reattached his swordbelt around his waist.

The Drow smiled evily at his three former escorts and said, "Never pick a fight that you know you can't win, humans!" Turning to the rest of his companions, Sterling said with determination in his voice, "Let's go! We have a long way to go today, and I have to give you guys a crash course in Elven Combat 101."
