"...umm. umm. ummmm." Cole the mentalist had been making that sound for the past few minuutes after Kryschenn asked him to help in her and Cassandra's plot to get the Ranger and Sheila together. In that time Cole had been thinking of the many different ways Hank could probably get back at Cole for getting involved. I could just see it now...all of us in some terrible battle against Venger and just as I'm about to take on some orcs *BAM* and I become a victim of 'friendly fire.' Or perhaps I could be lagging behind in a cavern or something then all of a sudden a cave-in 'mysteriously' happens and I would be left for dead.
On the other hand, Cole thought, it would be nice to at least get the chance to introduce myself to Sheila. Maybe that should be 'reintroduce' as I did get to talk to her a little in the Dreamtime. Wait! Ack! I erased her memory of the dream, didn't I? Hmm, I wonder if she would remember any of that, seeing as I don't really know if 'programming' the gem worked? Well at least this time I won't have to worry about some imaginary demons trying to kill people. And if Hank does try anything, I'll still have the gem to make a psi-shield.
"Okay, Kryschenn, I'm in." finally giving the Highland Warrior his answer. "Oh, and if you really want me to push Hank's buttons for this 'costume party'-thing perhaps I could were the uniform of oh, I dunno...a Ranger."
Great, now I'll be REALLY dead, the mentalist thought, luckily I have this. Cole then reaches into his pouch looking for his 'mind gem' before realizing that he left it with Iris. "Uh, excuse me ladies. I have to go get something real fast!" With that, Cole hurries to get the only thing that might save him from Hank's terrible vengeance back from the Minstrel.
