((this post take place after the one in response to Iris under 'the plot thickens' and 'leaving to save lives'))flashback:
It was getting late and the ball was about to begin. Cole still couldn't find a "Ranger" outfit anywhere at least not one that resembled Hank's. He had no luck in finding Zeo or Zakiyah and that left him with one last alternative. "I guess the only around here that looks anything like Hank's outfit is...hmm." Cole said to himself dashing off to find the Ranger's quarters. Using his telekinesis to open the door to his room without making a sound, Cole saw that no one was around and decided to let himself in. Closing the door behind, him the Mentalist then began pulling out drawer after drawer looking for it but found nothing "Not here, and the ball is going to start soon." Cole was careful to put the items back in the same manner they were placed in to cover his tracks. He then searched the closet only to find- "Nothing there either!"
Then looking at the bed he saw it, Hank's Ranger outfit, all nice and neatly folded like most of the other items he found. "I guess he forgot to put it away, oh well." *snatch*
"I sure hope this fits." he said examining the uniform in regard to Cole's build. ((anybody out there think Hank's about 5'11?")) Suddenly, Cole saw the door handle begin to turn. "Whattamigonnado?" the mentalist whispered as it opened. "EEK!" Cole had good reason to EEK as it was Hank returning to his room.
"I just want to check something real fast, before we meet the others at the ball, Terri." he said as he came in with Terri following behind him, both dressed in costume. Hank then grabbed a piece of paper with something written down on it before looking curiously at his bed. "I could have swore I forgot to put my outfit there when I left." he said. "Maybe it fell under the bed" he added as he began to reach under it.
"No!" she yelled as his arm began to reach for it, "I mean, you can always find it later can't you? Besdies, we're gonna be late if we don't get going." Terri spoke hurriedly as if trying to get him out of his out of his quarters fast.
"I guess your right, Terri" he shrugged. Hank then reopened his door and left for the party. As Hank headed for the ball, Terri seemed to be waiting for him to be out of earshot.
She then whispered "The coast is clear now, Cole. You can stop hiding."
The Mentalist then pulled himself from under Hank's bed, with his new costume in hand. "*Whew* thanks a lot, Terr. So how did you know I was under the bed?"
"Guess?" She said with a hint of sarcasm. Cole then realized that as a precog, she was probably asked questions like that often. Luckily she seemed to be in agreement with what Krys and the others had in mind.
"Okay, okay, nevermind," the mentalist said "Now if you'll excuse me. I've got to a costume party to get to."
"Okay, see you there, 'Hank'" she said giggling as she left Cole alone so he could get ready for the Costume Ball.
