Zeo scanned the ballroom, searching for her friends. Night Steel's wrist was still firmly locked in her grasp, and Cole's black cape contrasted starkly with her silver-grey dress."I know they're here somewhere," Zeo murmured. She spotted two vaguely familiar figures in the musicians' alcove. "Looks like they're busy with the plotting." Zeo grinned, and switched her grip.
At Night Steel's confused look, she explained. "You're not my prisoner. I just want to keep track of you. It's so easy to get lost here." Her eyes shuttered briefly before she continued. "If I keep holding your wrist, people will get the wrong idea. This way..." she indicated her arm linked through his, "people will think you're my escort." Across the room, she spotted a semi-familiar head of flaming red hair.
"Zakiyah's back!" she exclaimed. "She's a Lorekeeper. If anyone knows why you're here, it'll be her. Let's go ask her."
Zeo tugged Night Steel in the direction of the Lorekeeper/bellydancer.
