As the small party of adventurers began moving down the old hunting trail leaving a fuming Tuculcha behind, Sterling waited until they were well outside of earshot before he spoke to the rest of his friends. "You guys are probably wondering what my poor use of French was all about," began the Swordsman picking his way across the soft slimy ground. "I was just telling Ashleyien that our Playmate-wannabe back there was Deathsinger, trying to lead us into an ambush.
"And if you have any doubts about that, ask yourself this question: How many peasant girls do you know of carry a jewel encrusted dagger with Drow craftsmanship written all over it?"
Continuing, the Dark Elf said, "I had to admit, it was a pretty good illusion. It had me fooled until I saw Cadbury's reaction to our guest. I then took another look at her and saw the pommel of her dagger and I knew that we being set up."
"Now I know what some of you guys are thinking. We could've jumped her, taken her out and had one less Regulator to deal with down the road. All I can say to that is--maybe!" pondered the Drow never taking his eyes off of his task.
"I figured that at the moment, we are in no shape for a fight. Thothalas and I are the only ones that even got a wink of sleep last night, and we are the only ones who know antything about Elven combat. Fortunately, we can do something about both situations. First, when we make it to the Hag's Blood bridge you guys can get in a few hours of shut-eye if you like with Thothalas, Cadbury, and I pulling guard duty. Second, I can give you guys a little insight into how elves fight and maybe a strategy to help us beat our "Evil Us's" as Bill and Ted once eloquently put it. So here is a crash course in Elven Combat 101."
