"Fay, we just need you to try." the Mentalist said, trying to encourage her. "Trust in your abilities," Cole added as he and a few others watched over Krys in the ante room. However, with the sounds of escalating conflict coming from down the hall, Cole takes his leave of Krys and Fay and runs back to the ballroom the others are engaged in battle with the doppleganger.
"Zeo, I don't suppose you could pull a Proton Pack or six and a Ghost Trap out of that bag of yours?" Cole asked before the creature took notice of the recently arrived Mentalist. As the one who released the Treabor, the doppelganger learned that Cole was a psi, and decided to make a preemptive strike against him. "AHHHH!!!" Cole yelled as the doppelganger tried to fry his mind, fortunately his gem kept him alive. Realizing the same attack could be used against everyone else, Cole creates psionic shields for them all hoping they would block any further telepathic assaults.
Realizing that he was now 'technically' useless in the battle as he could provide them no further assisstance save the sheilds, he scanned the scene looking for the Lorekeeper only to see her being led away by the supposed spirit guardian. "Zak! Where are you going!?" the Mentalist called out to her getting no response. "Perfect!" Cole summerized the situation, "Krys is down, Venger knows whatever Terri and Zak do about the staff, two evil demons are infront of us and Zaki's gone 'bye-bye,' and on top of all of that, Kayla is off somewhere fighting a desperate battle against a pig army practically by herself." Cole then ran back through the hallway and grabbed a sword lying on the ground and returned to the ballroom.
